14 Arrested in Connection with 2019 Meghalaya Teachers’ Eligibility Test (MTET) Paper Leak, Informs Education Minister

SHILLONG, MAR 7: Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma on Friday informed the Assembly that 14 persons have been arrested for their involvement in  the Meghalaya Teachers’ Eligibility Test (MTET) question paper leak in 2019.
Eleven out of 14 arrested persons are students or MTET candidates, he said.
Sangma informed that the source of the question paper leak is the program developer and employee of NEICOM Impression Printing Press, Guwahati.
The question paper leak was first detected at Tura Government College, West Garo Hills District, he added.
The minister assured that the government will take steps to ensure such incidents do not reoccur in the future.
