An earthquake of magnitude 3.4 magnitude hit Meghalaya on Wednesday evening.
According to the National Centre for Seismology, the earthquake was experienced at 07:55:09 PM, with its epicentre at West Garo Hills District.
There was no report of any casualty or damage to property, they said.
The earthquake struck at a shallow depth of 8 km with latitude of 25.99 north and longitude of 90.40 east.
