3 Meghalaya districts registers ‘Zero’ COVID 19 cases.

One more person has succumbed to COVID-19 taking the total number of fatalities to 139 on Wednesday even as 21 new positive cases were also detected.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War said the 21 new cases include 16 from East Khasi Hills district, 03 West Garo Hills district, 01 South West Garo Hills district, and 01 in West Jaintia Hills District.
Of the 19 persons who recovered from the viral infection, Dr. War said 04 are from Ri Bhoi, 10 East Khasi Hills, 01 South Garo Hills, 03 West Garo Hills, and 1 North Garo Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,408 COVID-19 cases out of which 184 are active cases, 13,085 recovered and 139 deaths.
Of the total active cases, East Khasi Hills has 135 positive cases, West Garo Hills 14, East Garo Hills 01, Ri Bhoi 24, South West Garo Hills 03, West Khasi Hills 05, West Jaintia Hills 01 and North Garo Hills 01.

However, districts like South Garo Hills, East Jaintia Hills and South West Khasi Hills register zero COVID 19 cases.
“Till date, swab samples of 2,91,959 persons have been tested of which 2,78,551 were found negative,” the senior medical official said.

There are 77,648 entrants from outside the state.
