As the number of COVID 19 active cases drastically comes down especially since Coronavirus tests become chargeable in Meghalaya, the question has been raised time and again about the number of tests conducted per day.

Interestingly, the state on Tuesday reported 101 new recoveries, pushing the total recoveries to over 8,680.

At present, the state has only 971 active cases including 63 new cases reported. So far, in East Khasi Hills 339 active cases remain, while in Ri Bhoi 258 active cases are reported. West Garo Hills has 160 active cases, followed by West Jaintia Hills which presently has 86 active cases.

West Khasi Hills District has 15 active cases, while South West Khasi Hills has only 3, East Jaintia Hills has 26 cases, 7 in South West Garo Hills, 11 in South Garo Hills, 50 in East Garo Hills, and 11 in North Garo Hills.

Till date, the State has registered 9,741 COVID-19 cases, of which 971 are active,90 deceased, and 8,680 have recovered. EOM
