“This academy was started in 1978. It’s as old as I am and through these last 46 years. More than 36 088 personnel have received training in this academy. And as we could hear from the report that was given by our director, that this Academy has evolved and has learnt to adopt and improve the different modules, the different areas of training that are required as per the situation,” Chief Minister Sangma said.

Further, the CM called upon the young officers to keep duty before self and serve with integrity, passion and respect, safeguarding the rights and honour of the people.

“While you now hold positions of authority, always remember the importance of humility. Stay grounded, serve with dedication, and remain true to the responsibilities entrusted to you,” The CM advised the graduates.

The event was attended by senior officials from Assam and Meghalaya, special invitees, parents and relatives of the trainee officers, in-service trainees from the Explosives and Bomb Disposal Course, participants in the Training of Trainers (ToT) program on Disaster Management, and NEPA staff and their families.
