SHILLONG, MAY 9: Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma on Thursday said that the government will fill up teacher vacant posts once the model code of conduct is lifted.
Speaking to reporters, Sangma said, “Education department will be filling up these posts immediately after the model code of conduct is over.”
He said that the department is having its own recruitment board, which was approved by the state government recently.
According to him, the government has taken steps to rationalize many schools without student enrolment.
