Department of Environment and Traditional Ecosystems at Martin Luther Christian University on Wednesday celebrated the International Day for Biological Diversity in 2024 with a panel discussion and inter-college quiz competition.
Students from various colleges participated in the quiz competition in which St. Edmunds College emerged victorious and St. Anthony’s College and Synod College were the runners up.
In the afternoon session discussion on “Birds and Bird Watching in Meghalaya: An Introduction to Citizen Science,” Mr. Ezra Lawanker Rynjah was the resource person.
Chancellor of the University Dr. Glenn C. Kharkongor in his speech highlighted on citizen science and bird watching.
