10,000 tickets sold for Bryan Adams concert in Shillong

Despite recent setbacks in the tourism sector, the Meghalaya state government is optimistic about revitalizing tourism in the region. Tourism Minister Paul Lyngdoh has outlined several major events and initiatives aimed at boosting tourism and attracting visitors to the state.

The department has planned high-profile performances by international artists, including Alan Walker in September and Bryan Adams on December 10. The anticipation for these events is high, with 10,000 tickets already sold for the Bryan Adams concert. While there have been cancellations in accommodation bookings in Shillong due to earlier issues, these upcoming events are expected to draw significant crowds, making it difficult for people to stay away from these major performances.

In addition to these events, the Tourism Minister announced that the state government is organizing a tourism conclave on August 14. This conclave will serve as a platform to discuss various issues affecting the tourism sector. Key stakeholders from the tourism industry will be present to share insights and collaborate on strategies to enhance the sector’s growth.

The government’s proactive approach, coupled with these high-profile events is expected to pull the tourists inflow in the state.
