Minister in charge of Community & Rural Development (C&RD), Abu Taher Mondal, stated on Tuesday that the creation of new C&RD blocks is an ongoing process aimed at improving accessibility for people to administrative units.
When asked about the demand for the creation of the Mawsynram block, Mondal clarified, “It is not that we have created some blocks in the last term, so no further blocks will be created.”
He emphasized that new blocks will be declared based on the difficulties people face in reaching administrative units and the need to make these services more accessible. “The moment formalities are over, we will declare it. It all depends on how we go about it,” he added. However, he did not specify a timeline for the declaration, stating, “Exactly, I can’t say when it will be declared.”
