Shillong, August 29: After one and half year, TMC leader and former Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma is back as the leader of Opposition in Meghalaya Legislative Assembly making Meghalaya TMC once again the principle opposition party in the house of 60.
The Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly on Thursday officially recognised Meghalaya TMC Parliamentary Party leader Dr. Mukul Sangma as the Leader of Opposition, and Meghalaya Congress legislator Ronnie V Lyngdoh as the Opposition Chief Whip, with effect from forenoon of 28th August, 2024.
The official notification confirming these appointments was signed by Dr. Andrew Simons, Commissioner and Secretary of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.
