‘Amur Falcon Festival 2024’ will be held from 7-9 November

SHILLONG, OCT 22: The Eastern Ri-bhoi Tourism Environment in collaboration with the Tyrso Valley Wildlife Protection Society today announced that the ‘Amur Falcon Festival 2024’ will be held from 7-9 November.

This was announced by Bah Alos Nongpoh, Chairman of the Eastern Ri-bhoi Tourism Environment Development Authority.

Speaking to media persons, Nongpoh said the festival was launched in 2015 and for the first time the festival will be moved from Tyrso to Umroi village.

Nongpoh said that the Amur Falcons birds have already started coming to the area since 15 October and people have started coming to see these birds.

“The aim of the Amur Falcon Festival 2024 is to spread the message that we should love our nature, birds and all living things” said Nongpoh.

Nongpoh said that the festival will also promote Ri-bhoi district in the tourism industry.

Explaining about the Amur Falcon Festival 2024, Nongpoh said that there are many types of competitions ranging from the DJ competition among DJs from Meghalaya beside Miss and Mr Falcon 2024.
