Two drug traffickers from Manipur, identified as Dontanglian (39) and Chingneilun (30), were arrested on Thursday at Umphyrnai under Madanriting Police Station.
In an official statement, police said, “Today, the 12/12/2024, based on source information, the EKH police team apprehended the following persons at Umphyrnai under Madanriting PS: Shri Dontanglian (39 years), S/o Gousian, R/o Vengnuam, Churachandpur, Manipur, and Smti Chingneilun (30 years), W/o Nengzanhau, R/o Lungthul Village, Singngat, Churachandpur, Manipur.”
Police confirmed that 10 soap boxes containing suspected heroin weighing 106.06 grams and two mobile phones were recovered and seized. The accused are currently in custody, and an investigation is underway.
