The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) on Wednesday approved the calendar for the autumn session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly which will commence from September 15 to September 22.
The meeting of the BAC was chaired by the Assembly Speaker Thomas A Sangma and attended by deputy chief minister in-charge Parliamentary Affairs Prestone Tynsong and opposition AITC president Charles Pyngrope.
Addressing media persons, Sangma informed that there will be five working days of which three days have been allotted for government business and two days for private members’ business.
It may be mentioned that the Business Advisory Committee has fixed September 15, 20 and 22 for government business and September 19 and 21 are for private members’ business.
