Secretary of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary department C. Manjunathan passed away on Tuesday evening due to heart attack.
He was taken to Woodland Hospital from his residence at Forest Colony Polo in the evening where he expired.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma condoled the sudden demise of the official.
“We are pained by the untimely passing of one of our officers, Shri C. Manjunathan, IFS. Manju was a quiet and efficient officer with exemplary commitment to every Department he handled and took on every task with a smile. I extend my deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. May he rest in peace,” Sangma wrote.
