SHILLONG, MAY 30: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Thursday met and felicitated the first woman Director General of Police (DGP) of the state Idashisha Nongrang.
The delegation was led by State Secretary Tengku M Marak, accompanied by State Joint Secretary Bomsing Khongtir, NEC Member Promila Tham.
During the courtesy meeting, the delegation discussed various initiatives undertaken by ABVP across Meghalaya and the nation.
Tengku M Marak elaborated on ABVP’s role as the world’s largest student organization, highlighting its efforts in shaping the youth and students of the nation for constructive development, fostering a sense of nationalism and patriotism among them.
Idashisha Nongrang expressed her appreciation for ABVP’s initiatives and assured the organization’s representatives of the Meghalaya Police’s cooperation in future endeavors aimed at the positive development of students.
