Agnes Kharshiing, Amita Sangma thank people who stood by them when they were brutally attacked

Civil Society Women’s Organization (CSWO) president Agnes Kharshiing and her friend Amita Sangma on Monday thanked all the people who stood by them when they were brutally attacked in coal-rich East Jaintia Hills District four years ago.

“(We) thank God for giving us life once again and protecting us as we move on 4 years after we were attacked on 8/11/2018 and thank all those well-wishers who have prayed for us and were with our families during that most difficult period,” the two social activists said in a statement.

“We pray for all of us as we live in this beautiful world which God has given to all and vow that we shall still be with those who need us and we thank our families and dear ones who stood with us during the trauma and we pray for all of them to be filled with God’s Grace,” they said.
