AITC asks BJP to walk the talk: ‘Bring CBI, ED to investigate corruption cases’

All India Trinamool Congress (Meghalaya) Vice President George B Lyngdoh alleged that the BJP Government in Assam is hand in glove with the NPP led MDA Government in the state in the illegalities and corruption.

Daring BJP to walk the talk, the Meghalaya TMC leader asks BJP Government at the Centre to bring CBI and enforcement Directorate and get the corruption cases in the state investigated.

“If they meant business, bring the enforcement directorate today, bring the CBI today, don’t talk about post March 2nd, if you dare walk the talk and bring the enforcement directorate now, bring the CBI,” Lyngdoh said.

The AITC leader also said, “How do we expect that Amit Shah coming with this big talk from Delhi saying that we will do this we will do that when they are in power why aren’t they doing it now? What is stopping them? So by trying to fool the people nothing is going to be achieved.”

Stating that the BJP Government in Assam is equally responsible for corruption and illegalities in Meghalaya, Lyngdoh said, “The BJP Government in Assam is hand in glove in the illegal coal smuggling, the BJP Government in Assam is hand in glove in all the cow smuggling activities that is happening across Meghalaya.”

He further said despite TMC has officially complained to Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially about these illegalities; nothing was done by the Union Government.

Slamming BJP for giving vague threats to NPP, he said, “What has stopped them in the past five years, what has stopped Amit Shah from calling CBI and Enforcement directorate to come and investigate in the state? We have written letters to the Prime Minister also highlighting the corruption issues in the state, what stopped them because they are part of this corrupt government; they are part of this drama. “

BJP National Leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his rally in poll bound Meghalaya said Meghalaya is the ‘ Most corrupt’ state in the country. Interestingly, in its manifesto, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Meghalaya promised to establish a Task Force and investigate all cases of corruption, any delay, defect or denial of government services.
