All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) leader and Minister in Mamata Banerjee’s Government Dr. Manas Ranjan Bhunia on Friday said there will be a radical change in the North east politics, even as he predicted a changing trajectory of politics in Meghalaya.

“Please wait and see the charismatic leadership of Mamata Banerjee and her unflinching faith on the secularism and the development of northeast states, people will feel who is Mamata Banerjee, what is Trinamool Congress and we are expecting a radical change in the North eastern politics under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee,” Dr. Bunia told Meghalaya News 24 in Shillong.

Stating that the basic objective of politics is to go for people’s benefit, the state’s benefit, the AITC leader said, “The directive principles of the political issues which have been taken up by Mamata Banerjee will follow for the benefit of the people of Meghalaya.”

Welfare schemes get the lion’s share in Mamata‘s Government in West Bengal and  this has helped her regain power once again. After becoming the principal opposition party in the state Legislative Assembly in Meghalaya, the TMC leader “ I strongly feel and am convinced that Trinamool congress will become a major party in Meghalaya very soon.”

Talking about object and strategy, he said,”Look Trinamool congress, political objective and strategy is to reach out to the people, solve the problem of the people, solve the problem of the state, to raise the economic status of the people and go for inclusive development of the people and the state. “

Even as he hoped that the issues will definitely infuse in the heart of the people of the North-eastern states including Meghalaya.

“…the charismatic leadership of Mamata Banerjee and her unflinching support to these developments and to fight against divisive politics to keep and restore secularism , these will be a major factor,” Dr. Manas added.
