Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh on Tuesday informed she will convene a meeting on May 16, to address the problem concerning the sudden drop in the price of broomsticks in the state.
“I will convene a meeting on May 16, where we will be discussing this sudden fall on the price of broomsticks that is affecting broomstick farmers to a large extent,” Lyngdoh said.
“I am yet to be briefed about the reality of all situations but we will take necessary steps and measures to ensure that this does not happen and that this lull in the broomstick market of does not continue for long,” she said.
