Bernard sent to 6 days Police Custody in Explosives Substances Act Case

The Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Tura on Thursday has remanded BJP Vice President and MDC Bernard N. Marak @Rimpu to six days Police Custody in Explosives Substances Act Case.

West Garo Hills SP VS Rathore said, “Bernard N. Marak @Rimpu has been remanded to 6 days Police Custody in Explosives Substances Act Case by CJM court today.”

After the raid at Rimpu Bagan, Police recovered explosives and other weapons from a room at the farmhouse, wherein an additional separate case has been registered under Explosives Substances Act, 1908.

Police arrested the accused on Wednesday night in connection with the case.

Earlier, the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, West Garo Hills, Tura on Wednesday has remanded Bernard N. Marak @Rimpu, to 14 days of Judicial Custody in connection with Tura Women PS Case No. 105(07)2022 u/s 370(3) IPC r/w 3/4/5/6/7 Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.

Bernard has been under the custody of Tura police since July 28.
