Big drop in Coronavirus cases in Meghalaya as the daily Covid-19 count is sliding. The state has witnessed a drop in the daily COVID-19 tally in the past one week as only three new cases were detected on Monday even as more patients have recovered from the viral infection. With this, the total number of active cases stands below two hundred.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said 02 cases were detected from East Khasi Hills, while one detected from Garo Hills as the total number of active cases in the state stands at 199.
of the 30 recoveries, he said, 26 are from East Khasi Hills, 03 from East Garo Hills and 01 from South West Garo Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,279 COVID-19 cases out of which 199 are active cases, 13,042 recovered and 138 deaths.
Of the total active cases, East Khasi Hills has 140 positive cases, West Jaintia Hills 04, Ri Bhoi 30, West Garo Hills 15, South West Garo Hills 02, East Garo Hills 01, East Jaintia Hills 0, South Garo Hills 01, West Khasi Hills 05, North Garo Hills 01 and South West Khasi Hills 0.
“Till date, swab samples of 2,89,092 persons have been tested of which 2,75,713 were found negative,” the senior medical official said.
There are 76,926 entrants from outside the state.
