NPP’s National ally, the BJP too settles in 2 seats.

For the DR. Mukul Sangma led Meghalaya TMC, it was a day of debacle. The party could secure only 4 seats in Garo Hills and only one in Khasi Jaintia Hills.

Dr Mukul Sangma won from Songsak but lost Tikrikella to NPP. .

Though his daughter and the party’s candidate from Ampati Miani D Shira managed to retain her seat, but Dikkanchi D. Shira lost the seat to NPP. TMC’s Rangsakona Candidate Zenith M Sangma too could not make it.
