The five members’ delegation of Bharatiya Janata Party Meghalaya Unit today met Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G. Kishan Reddy and sought his intervention on the growing demand for Inner Line Permit in the state.
Informing about the meeting, BJP leader Dipayan Chakraborty said, “We have taken up the ILP issue with the minister.”
“The Minister has assured us that he will take up the matter in the meeting in the MHA and discuss it thoroughly about it,” Chakraborty added.
Backed by proof, the visiting BJP state delegation also highlighted various allegations of corruption against the present Government.
“We have discussed the political situation in Meghalaya also during the meeting, we have discussed graft issues as well as the law and order,” he said.
Led by state BJP president Ernest Mawrie, the delegation is leaving no stone unturned to reach out to its central leadership in its endeavor to fight corruption.
