BJP state president Ernest Mawrie on Tuesday said the state party is waiting for the decision of the central leadership on withdrawing support to the MDA government.
Speaking to reporters, Mawrie said, “We are waiting for their decision on the matter. We cannot pull out without their decision.”
Mawrie refused to comment on the statement of BJP Meghalaya in-charge Dr Chuba Ao that the party will take a call on the matter within a month’s time.
“I cannot counter the statement of our in-charge because I don’t know he has not discussed with me on that,” he said.
The state president said the party in Meghalaya had already submitted documents to substantiate the allegations on corruption in the district councils and illegal transportation of coal – to Delhi.
“Whatever allegations (made by us) we have already produce documents and we have already sent to Delhi. We have also apprised on the problems faced by us and by the people of the state in front of our central leaders from time to time and now we are waiting for their decision,” he stated.
