Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Friday said the process is on for resolving the remaining six areas of difference.

Speaking to reporters, Sangma said the regional committees constituted by the state government have started discussions on the matter.

“In fact today the West Khasi Hills regional committee today held its first meeting. However, I have not got the report of the meeting yet. Similarly, other regional committees will also meet,” he said.

He said later joint meetings will also be held with Assam regional committees.

“However, it is a process it cannot be resolved immediately  or we cannot expect results in a matter of days  but process is on and we hope that soon we will have the CM level meeting also,” he added.
