The state Cabinet on Thursday has approved the Meghalaya Rights to Public Services Rules, 2021.

Sangma further informed that the cabinet has also approved the Meghalaya Housing (Subordinate) Statistical Service Rules, 2020.

He said the rules are meant to regulate the method of recruitment, promotion, and service matters of persons appointed to the post of assistant research officer, research assistant, and investigation under the Directorate of Housing.

Meanwhile, the recommendations of the standing committee on the inter-state council secretariat regarding the recommendations of the Punchhi Commission were also discussed during the meeting.
