Candidates for Staff Nurse and ANM urges Govt not postpone or delay recruitment process

Shillong, Oct 07: A section of qualified candidates for Staff Nurse and ANM today urge the state government to not postpone or further delay, the recruitment process but to carry on with the physical verification.
Speaking to media persons, Merybahun Marbaniang said that they are not against the demand of few aspiring candidates to halt the recruitment process but neither the state government should delay as they have passed the exam based on hard work and preparation.
“We are the qualified candidates whose roll number appear in the list of the staff nurse result which came on 28 September 2024. So we want to request the government and the higher authority to not postpone or further delay, the recruitment process but to carry on with the physical verification”.
On the issues raised by few aspiring candidate, Marbaniang said that the issues has been already been clarified by the Board, where they explain about the allegations.
“I think from the board itself they have already given times for 10 days for any aggrieved candidates to seek clarification. There is also a grievance cell where the board have already told them that whoever having an issue in these 10 days they can write to the board” said Marbaniang.
Marbaniang asserted that the examination and the declaration of the result was fair and square and very transparent.
“Yes, we feel for them, but then also, we have to stand on the facts. We have to understand that this is a competitive exam, we have to complete among ourself as there was 5000-6000 candidates for only 164 post” she added.
“So therefore we are here to voice our right, just like the other party also they are voicing their right, it is our right also that we are present here and we are voicing that one” said Marbaniang.
When asked, Marbaniang said that the next process is physical verification and all those candidates who cleared the exam are waiting for the notification from the board.
