Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday expressed happiness on the successful landing of Chandrayaan 3 mission on the moon.
Speaking to reporters, Sangma said, “It is a very proud moment for every Indian and I am no different and obviously I think we all will be very proud once it land and also understand that we will be the only 4th nation in the entire world that would have successfully landed in the moon and we will be first to have landed in the southern part of the moon.”
“Therefore, this will be a big step for India and a very strong message at the international level about the overall seriousness of India, about the capacity of India and that India is now among those top countries that has got technologies to send missions to the moon,” he said.
Meanwhile, Former Chief Minister and the TMC legislator Dr Mukul Sangma said “Congratulations ISRO for the successful soft landing of the #Chandrayaan3 – a proud occasion for every Indian! Saluting all the scientists for this collective collaborative achievement of this feat! “
Prime Minister Modi lauds the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan-3, India’s third lunar mission, on the moon’s surface.
The Lander Module (LM) of the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) third lunar mission Chandrayaan-3, launched on July 14, made a successfully landing on the Moon’s surface on August 23, making India only the fourth country after the erstwhile USSR, the U.S. and China to make a soft landing on the lunar surface.
