The cabinet reshuffle of Meghalaya Democratic Alliance is likely to be on Thursday as two Ministers will be replaced in this reshuffle. A source close to the CM Secretariat revealed Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has decided to drop three-time MLA from Raliang Comingone Ymbon from the council of ministers. He is likely to be replaced by Dasakhiat Lamare.
The young legislator who represents the Mawhati constituency is the son of former Umroi MLA Ngaitlang Dhar. Ymbon is holding charge of the Fisheries and Public Work Department (Building).
When contacted, Ymbon said, “I have nothing to say on the decision.”
However, sources close to Ymbon revealed that the MLA felt that the NPP has betrayed him as it has failed to honour its promises made when he joined and contested for the 2018 Assembly elections.
It may be mentioned here that Ymbon had resigned from the opposition Congress and joined the NPP ahead of the elections.
The PHE Minister, Samlin Malgniang of the HSPDP will be replaced by his party colleague Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar MLA of Mawkyrwat
