The Opposition Congress party has officially announced its first list of 26 candidates for the upcoming elections to the Khasi and Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Councils (ADCs), scheduled for February 21, 2025.
The party has fielded 15 candidates for the Khasi Hills and 11 for the Jaintia Hills, following a meticulous selection process conducted by the Block Congress Committee (BCC), District Congress Committees (DCC), and the Pradesh Election Committee (PEC).
In its statement, the Congress emphasized:
