One more person died due to COVID-19, taking the death toll in the state to 94 on Monday.
Sonkor Arengh 44 Yrs/M from Hawakana, Tura in West Garo Hills district passes away on Sunday at the Tura Civil Hospital.
Arengh was admitted and tested positive for COVID-19 on 06th November, “ The Cause of death Septic Shock with Multi-Organ Dysfunction with Liver Disease with Pancreatitis,” said Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War.
The state has also recorded 37 new recoveries, 28 fresh positive COVID-19 cases on Monday.
Among the total cases, Ri Bhoi District tops with 313 cases, while East Khasi Hills recorded 296 cases, while in West Garo Hills 119 active cases remain. West Jaintia Hills crossed the hundred mark as 101 active cases remain, while in West Khasi hills 14 cases remain, 1 in South West Khasi Hills, 48 in East Jaintia Hills, South West Garo Hills 18, 15 in South Garo Hills, East Garo Hills 86, and North Garo Hills 13.
Till date, the State has registered 10,230 COVID-19 cases, of which 1,024 are active,94 died and 9,112 have recovered. EOM
