One more succumbed to COVID-19 virus in Meghalaya taking the death toll to 61.
A patient named Phlabia Sun, 56 years from ICAR Pyllun Damsite was admitted to civil hospital Shillong on 22nd of last month. On 25th she was tested Covid positive and last evening at 8:30 pm she succumbed to this fatal virus. She was diagnosed with ARDS with septic shock with covid 19 with Cancer.
The state on Friday recorded 127 new positive cases, with this the total number of active cases stands at 2,424. While, 71 patients recovered. So far 4,903 people were discharged. Till date, Meghalaya has registered a total of 7,388 COVID 19 cases.
From amongst the 127 cases, 95 are reported from East Khasi Hills district, 08 from Ri Bhoi district, 02 from East Jaintia Hills district, 06 from West Garo Hills district , 05 from South Garo Hills, 04 from North Garo Hills district and 02 from East Jaintia Hills district.
Talking about 71 recoveries, 33 are from East Khasi Hills district, 05 from Ri-Bhoi district, 29 from West Garo Hills district and 02 each from East Garo hills and South West Garo Hills district.
