The state has recorded 20 new COVID-19 cases, adding up to 151 active cases on Monday, even as 24 more recovered from the viral disease, taking up the number of persons who have recovered to 13,337.
Director Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War informed that fresh COVID-19 cases recorded on Monday include 17 from East Khasi Hills district and 01 each from East Jaintia Hills, West Jaintia Hills and West Khasi Hills District.
Of the 34 patients who have recovered from the viral infection, Dr. War said 19 are from East Khasi Hills, 03 from West Garo Hills and 02 from West Khasi Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,631 COVID-19 cases out of which 151 are active cases, 13,337 recovered and 143 died.
Of the total active cases, East Khasi Hills, including Shillong is the most affected district in the State with 111 active COVID-19 cases, while West Jaintia Hills 26, Ri Bhoi 03, West Garo Hills 02, South West Garo Hills nil, East Garo Hills nil, East Jaintia Hills 02, South Garo Hills 01, South West Khasi Hills nil, West Khasi Hills 02 and North Garo Hills 04.
The case fatality rate stands at 1.04%
“Till date, swab samples of 3, 09,055 persons have been tested of which 2,95424 were found negative,” the senior medical official said.
There are 81,704 entrants from outside the state.
