Minister in-charge Community & Rural Development AT Mondal on Tuesday informed that the staff appointed under different schemes of the parent blocks of Nongstoin and Mawshynrut are given dual charge while recruitment of permanent staff to the newly created blocks – Rambrai and Rimuliang – are under process.
Replying in the Assembly, Mondal said blocks are currently operating from rented buildings and some basic skeletal infrastructure is in place.
He said the two new blocks were inaugurated last month and due to elections everything came to a standstill.
“However, the government is committed to making the blocks functional and we are moving for sanctioning of posts,” he added.
