The East Jaintia National Council (EJNC,) yesterday celebrated its 8 years of commitment to the community in khliehriat west community hall. The program was chaired by Bah Damonmi Dkhar, the council also released a Documentary film which showcase the journey of the council since it was form. In this program the two council (EJNC & JNC) took a next step to be part on only one council and a Name was given Jaintia National Council. The newly elected Central Executive Committee was formed and the new body was sworn in with it’s President Bah Sambormi Lyngdoh and Genl. Secy Bah Wanshwa Suting. Bah Robertjune Kharjahrin President HYC CEC administerd the oath-taking.
Short speech was also given by Severals NGOs leaders include President HANM Bah Lamphrang kharbani, president JSU Jersome shylla, president JYF O.L. Tariang with some special cultural dance by youths of EJHD.
Speech were also deliver by shri Dr. P. Nongtdu principal of Jaintia Eastern College who encourage the newly body to work hard for the betterment of the community.
