GHADC poll a litmus test for NPP?

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Sunday said the elections to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council is a test for the National People’s Party-led MDA government.
Addressing an election rally held at Phulbari, Sangma said, “The ensuing election is a test for the government, whether it has been able to meet the expectations of the people and the promises made in the 2018 general election.”
He said that the GHADC election is very important as people are getting the opportunity to give their feedback on the performance of the ruling govt.
Addressing the gathering,  the Chief Minister has claimed that the NPP-led government had managed to restore peace in Garo Hills, which had enabled the government to consistently work for inclusive growth and development in the state.
