SHILLONG, MAY 23: Social Welfare Minister Paul Lyngdoh on Thursday informed that the state government has finalised the appointment of the new chairpersons of the Meghalaya State Commission for Women (MSCW) and Meghalaya State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MSCPCR) as well as the mission director of the DREAM project.
Speaking to reporters, Lyngdoh said, “The only thing that is holding us back from notifying them is that we are waiting for the model code of conduct (MCC) to be lifted.”
Lyngdoh said that it would not be fair unless the government notified them.
