Govt. is finding ways and means to clear pending dues of  SSA teachers: Rymbui.


Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui has informed the house the state government is finding ways and means to clear the pending dues of the SSA teachers in the state.

Stating that arrear salary due to enhancement of salary with effect from April 1, 2016, amounting to Rs 8951.39 lakh was payable, Rymbui said, “Out of which Rs 3835.94 lakh was paid and the balance of Rs 5115.45 lakh is pending for payment. “

While replying to a query raised by Umroi legislator George Lyngdoh in the Assembly, the Minister said, “We are working out as to how to clear the pending dues. However, I cannot say when as it will depend on the availability of funds.”

The minister also informed that the government has also utilized from the corpus funds for clearing the pending dues when the release of funds by the Centre is delayed.

He further assured to look into the alleged delay by the school managing committee to transfer the salary of the teachers.
