Govt. reopens tourist spots in Meghalaya for local visitors


The state Government has permitted reopening of all tourist spots in the state for local tourists from within the state from October 16.

The state government through a notification informed that this permission is subject to compliance of the SOP issued by the State Tourism Department in this regard as well as adherence to social distancing protocols issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department.

Through the notification the state Government also mentioned about following strict safety and sanitization protocols.

Earlier, the Government reopened three tourist places in the state- Ward’s Lake, Elephant Falls and Lum Nehru Park, particularly for local tourists.  ​
