With Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) declaring the class xii results (Arts), the state Government will now issue a notification for the admission at the degree colleges at Patharkhmah in Ri Bhoi and Rongjeng in East Garo Hills.
Informing this, Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma told Meghalaya News 24, “I want to inform every body that the state Government has decided Patharkhmah and Rongjeng degree college will commence its academic session from 2024 onward.
The official notification will be out in a day or two.
“The admission for the BA (Arts) will start from this academic session 2024,” Sangma said.
Asked about the principal, he said the appointment of the principals for these colleges will met done once Model code of conduct is lifted.
“Most likely on 5th or 6th of June the principal’s appointment will be notified,” he added.
