Leader of Opposition Mukul Sangma has sought the intervention of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah into mysterious deaths of two Garo citizens at Haryana.
“In view of the gravity of the matter, therefore, I sincerely urge you to take cognizance of this case and intervene as per law and ensure justice,” Sangma said in his letter to Shah on Wednesday.
He said that a very disturbing news has been carried by the media which has gone viral and is of serious nature.
“This is regarding the reported filing of an FIR by late Samuel Sangma, a native of Nagaland against the authority/management of Alpha Hospital, Basai, Gurugram, Haryana for alleged medical negligence resulting in death of his aunty, Late Rose Sangma on 24.06.2021 and the death of Late Samuel Sangma the next day on 25.06.2021 at Safdarjung, New Delhi, under very mysterious circumstances,” Sangma said.
He said the incidence of this nature and the perception generated thereof have serious negative ramifications and pose serious challenges on peace, harmony and unity of the nation.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament from Tura Lok Sabha constituency, Agatha Sangma too has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
In her letter to Shah, Agatha said,”……… urge upon you to initiate necessary investigation at the earliest and book the perpetrators of the crime in consonance with the law of the land and deliver justice to the grieving family of Lt. Rosy Sangma and Lt. Samuel Sangma.”
While narrating the incident, the NPP MP said,“……Prima-facie this appears to be a case of orchestrated homicide, which requires investigation of highest order to underneath the truth leading to the death of two young persons in their prime.”
