SHILLONG, AUG 7: The Hynniewtrep Achik National Movement (HANM) today submitted a memorandum to deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong to address on the three issues pertaining to the issue in Western Ri-bhoi district.
Speaking to media persons, HANM Western Ri-bhoi President, Sumar Lyngdoh said that in the meeting, the HANM had demanded for establishment of another Police Outpost in Balakhawa village Assam.
Lyngdoh said that the setting up of Police Outpost in this village will ensure the peace and security among the residents on the border of Meghalaya and Assam.
The HANM along with the residents of Belahari village had also demanded from deputy chief minister to sanction for a proper road in village bordering Assam.
The delegation has also demanded to set up a Fire and Emergency Service Station at Patharkhmah village as it is essential to prevent various fires outbreak in Western Ri-Bhoi district.
