Most of the high-risk contacts of the state Transport Minister, Sniawbhalang Dhar have tested negative for COVID-19, health officials informed on Monday.
“So far, none of the high-risk contacts of the minister have tested positive for the virus,” Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War told reporters.
Asked, he informed the high-risk contacts are mostly family members of Dhar and the majority of them have gone for testing, the reports of which came out negative.
Similarly, government officers and staff who came in contact with the minister were all tested and were also found to be negative.
“All contacts are undergoing isolation as per protocols,” Dr. War said.
Sniawbhalang Dhar, also incharge of the Urban Affairs department was tested positive for COVID-19 last month. This came days after Health Minister, Alexander Laloo Hek was tested positive, after his official visit to New Delhi.
Both the ministers are undergoing self-isolation and are asymptomatic.
