ILP demand. Govt soon will take a call on leading all-party delegation to Delhi

Meghalaya Government will soon take a call about leading lead a delegation of all 60 legislators to Delhi for pursuing with the Centre to implement the inner line permit (ILP) system in Meghalaya.
While stating that the Chief Minister is working on that, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said, “Yes, that we will decide soon.”
“We also have to make an appointment with the concerned ministers and right now we are yet to do that,” he added.
Asked if the government would call for an all-party meeting to discuss the strategy on the matter, Tynsong said, “If required yes and if it is not required I don’t think so.”
There is a growing demand from several quarters including political parties and pressure groups for the government to lead an all-party delegation to Delhi in order to aggressively push for immediate implementation of ILP in the state. Even opposition Congress too decided to stick to the resolution passed by the state Assembly for urging the centre to immediately implement the inner line permit (ILP) in Meghalaya.
