Its BJP central leadership ‘s decision to support NPP: Rikman

SHILLONG, MAR 30: BJP state president Rikman G Momin on Saturday while reacting on the demand for his resignation, Momin said, “It is up to the central leader if I am supposed to quit I will quit I will go according to the central decision.”

 

“Of course but the thing is that since they have worked hard day and night and naturally they thought it is my responsibility to put the candidates in, it is a central decision which I cannot defy,” he added.

 

It may be mentioned that BJP workers have expressed their disappointment with the decision of the BJP Central leadership to extend support to NPP candidates both in Shillong and the Tura seats.

 

These workers said that its not easy to convince people as many are not in favour to support NPP.

 

Further, the state BJP chief said there will be a joining programme to BJP during and after this election. In regards to campaigning for the NPP, the state president said that no information from the central leadership has come yet.

 

Further, the state BJP president told Media persons that people want Narendra Modi to become the Prime Minister again.

 

Momin said, “Naturally, everyone will vote for Narendra Modi for the third time.”

The state president said, “Our karyakartas have attended the meeting in which the chief minister has come and they will be fully supporting the NDA candidates.”
