SHILLONG, MAY 30: The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) expressed opposition to the decision announced by the state government to affiliate all colleges of the state to Williamson Sangma State University.
In a press statement, the KHNAM alleged that the state government has never held discussion on this matter and this decision was taken abruptly.
“The decision to affiliate all colleges of the state to Williamson Sangma State University has shocked everyone, especially the student’s community” said the KHNAM.
The KHNAM alleged that this decision was taken solely by the chief minister without consultation with all stakeholders.
“The right location is Shillong as it is convenient to everyone especially when it comes to logistics but this sudden announcement is a warning that there might be any hidden agenda by the NPP”.
