Nongpoh MLA and Chairman of the Meghalaya State Health Advisory Board, Mayral Born Syiem on Friday submitted a memorandum to Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Union Minister of DoNER, Government of India in Shillong demanding sanctioning for the Upgradation of Nongpoh-Umden-Sonapur Road(20 Km) in Ri Bhoi District, Meghalaya under NESIDS(Roads).
In the memorandum, Syiem requested for the Sanctioning of the project Upgradation of Nongpoh-Umden-Sonapur Road (20 Km) Ri Bhoi District, Meghalaya at an estimated cost of Rs 52.98 Crores under NESIDS (Roads) Ministry of DONER.
“The project proposal have been submitted to The Secretary North Eastern Council Shillong through the Planning, Investment Promotion & Sustainable Development Department Government of Meghalaya vide letter No PLR.2/2017/192 Dated Shillong the 25th June 2024,” the Nongpoh MLA said.
He further requested the union Minister for speedy sanctioning of the project.
