The Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides concluded its Awareness Campaign Week in commemoration of the 70th Annual Foundation Day 2020 on the Theme: “MBSG Fights Covid-19” at the State Headquarters with a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, Meghalaya Branch. The inauguration program was attended by members, Dr. G. Myrthong, Dr. C. Budnah, Dr. B. Lato from the Regional Blood Bank, Pasteur Institute; Mr. A.N. Sawian, General Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Meghalaya Branch, Mr. R.O. Wallang, IFS (Retd), Mr. H. Shabong, both members of the Member Managing Body, IRCS respectively, and Mr. H. Marwein, President, AI JINGIM voluntary blood donors’ organization.
Mrs. A. Swer, State Secretary, Meghalaya Bharat Scouts, and Guides presented the welcome speech and shed information about the weeklong Awareness Campaign of the Bharat Scouts and Guides. She also lauded the donors who voluntarily came forward to contribute towards a greater cause to society. The camp was also visited by Mr. R.G. Lyngdoh, Chairman, IRCS, Meghalaya Branch, and Mr. A. Goenka, Member Managing Body. Altogether, a total of 38 donors were recorded out of which 23 were fit and able to donate.
