Former PDF president and new joinee to NPP, and Sohra MLA Gavin Miguel Mylliem on Monday said the meeting to discuss the Roster system is likely to take place on May 15th where the two new joinee will air their opinion on the subject .
“We will be having a roster meeting if I am not mistaken on 15th of May, I think so the Chief Minister will be calling the meeting, he will be chairing the meeting,” Mylliem said.
“I think that will be the right platform for us to address our concern about Roster. We will discuss all these on the right platform,” he added.
The Sohra legislator however is optimistic that Chief Minister Conrad Sangma will pay heed to the 11 point Merger conditions laid by erstwhile PDF.
“In life we need to be optimistic, we shouldn’t be too pessimistic, so ofcourse on Saturday we have given the merger document and its according to the documents that has been decided at the general council we had on 5th and some of the agendas in line with the NPP and CM assured in this regard,” the former PDF president said.
Earlier on Saturday, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said, there is nothing called prospective or retrospective in the application of the Roster.
Speaking to reporters in Shillong, Sangma said, a lot of people have not yet understood the entire roster system and therefore, the state government will be giving presentations to make people aware.
