Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Monday congratulated the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its victory in three states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh.
Speaking to reporters, Sangma said, “The biggest surprise and biggest positive step was the results that came in Madhya Pradesh. I do congratulate Shivraj Singh Chauhan that in spite of being in the government for so many years he was able to overcome all those challenges, all the negativity that were on top of him and he was able to overcome those challenges along with the team to win in a landslide manner.”
Sangma also extended congratulations to the BJP national president JP Nadda for his party’s performance in the three states including Rajasthan and Chattisgarh.
Meanwhile, the Meghalaya BJP was in jubilant mode after these victories. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Meghalaya celebrated the party’s victory in three of the four major state Assembly elections, results of which were announced on Sunday.
